High-Performance Chamois Sponge - No Streaks!: Home Improvement. In the kitchen use it on stainless steel, appliances and silverware in the bathroom porcelain, tile, sinks, mirrors and glass. We were pretty skeptical of the manufacturer's claims for this chamois sponge - until we tried it on glass! The first thing we tried it on was a high-gloss LCD computer monitor. We were expecting it would pick up the dust and maybe rearrange the fingerprints - and then we'd need to use glass cleaner to remove streaks spots. Wrong! We had to hunt for streaks, even using a bright light to create glare - but still no streaks. It does an amazing job on other surfaces, too. For car and boat detailing, use it after washing to remove water spots, clean windshield/windows, dash and leather/vinyl upholstery and trim.
