Intended for outdoor use, this rotary laser boasts accuracy to plus or minus 1/8-inch per 100 feet, and has protective features--like a rough-and-tough rotary cage--that guard against weather damage. This cage is also made up of several slender struts that offer two additional benefits: consistent power, and the prevention of blind spots; there's even a rubber boundary over the molding that helps reduce the likelihood of broken parts should you drop the DW078KE on potentially vulnerable areas. For added convenience, this rotary laser can run off of any 9.6- to 18-volt DEWALT battery, and has an insulated battery door for quick battery removal and protection from water, dust, and debris. You can also set a manual slope and a stand-by mode with the remote, and the clamp will locate the beam up to 1000 feet (radius) from the laser. Finally, the included detector is just as accurate (to plus or minus 1/25 inch) and durable.
