Are you Interested in Generating Some Extra Cash?

HI Larry,

I would take a totally different approach..

You want to set your money goals high.  Why sell for $0.99 cents with no bolding, etc..

I would start with one ebook and rather than try to get $0.99 cents for it, I would try to get $5 to $10.

AND, I would modify the ad, seeing you are just using the standard one that was included.

The idea would be to go for quality rather than quantity..

OK, let me explain...  I will show you how you can make $250 off JUST one information product.

THERE ARE TWO OPTIONS HERE..

ONE would be to sell my "Affiliate ebook business".  This would get your good money..  You would do it at the top of the page.. You could modify it to include more ebooks on making money on ebay, if you wanted, or you could just try to improve on it.. Here is the link to the "affiliate business":

---------
TWO would be to follow my instruction below..

WHAT I WOULD DO IF I WAS GOING TO SELL ONE OF THESE INFORMATIONAL PRODUCTS:

1. First, I would do a search to find the top sellers of information on how to sell on ebay:

Generally, most of them list in the above category at the top of the page..  Not all at the top make good money, but here are some of the better ones:

So, what I would do is drop the icon you are using..  I would make it look like this ebook is fresh..  Then, I might just put it on CD or print it, so I can be in more categories and also so I can get some profits in shipping costs..

2. I would put the price at probably a minimum of $10 bucks..  When a customer would purchase, I would send more than just this one ebook.  I would send several solid ebooks on the topic of making money on ebay.

3. So a price like $5 to $15.  Yes, I know, this sounds strange compared to all the "standard" strategies, but trust me, I know what I am doing here..

4. OK, so you will not be selling one ebook, but rather comprehensive information on "Making Money on eBay" and putting it all on one CD or just leaving it as an ebook compilation..

5. The approach will not be to use the direct ad you currently have..  The approach also will not be like those amatuers who have silly ads like "14,000 ebooks on one CD for $5 bucks"..  This is a bad idea..  Its basically an orgy of product for too low of price, which tells the customer they must not be worth much, whether or not they are worth much..

6. The price is part of the marketing..  If the price is low, it will not sell well or it will sell but not much profit..  If the price is high, it will not sell or it will not sell much.. If the price is just right, maxed out, it will sell well and make you the most profit..

Do not assume the right price is some price you would want to pay..  Rather, consider what is the ideal price.  $9.95 is ideal from experience.

That means, this is a confortable level many are willing to pay for good information..  ALL you have to do is provide solid information after you get the sale..  So, right now, you are concerned more so about the sale, as it is pretty easy to find several ebooks on "real estate" and you can even buy books and write your own small ebook, if you think it is lacking (which probably will not be the case)..

You basically want to make a package of as much information on making money on ebay as possible..  So, that will be your product goal..

On your sales goal, you want to follow my advice above..  I am thinking the $19.95 range is really good..  Also, I think the CD or DVD might just be a good way to send it..

Why CD or DVD?

Because you can be in FOUR times as many categories..

NOW, why are we doing all of the above..  Why would we want to make this as good as possible..

The reason is because we put in the labor now.. The best we can and THEN we put the marketing bucks behind it..

So, we start with one auction..  Then, when it sells 30% of the time, we take it to the top of the page..  Then, you are getting like 8 or more sales at $9.95 at the top of the page..  You get to keep $50 bucks on this auction every time it ends..

You then branch out into other categories..  Computers/Software/   and    Books/Nonfiction   and so on..

You get up 5 auctions at the top of the page, all sell 4 per auction..  Sometimes, you might get a killer auction that sells more than this.. Maybe even 8 once in a while or even higher..

So, now you have 5 auctions making you around $50 per auction, per week..  Now, we are talking $250 profit per week from ONE INFO PRODUCT..

See how this works??

REMEMBER THE REVERSE ENGINEERING STEPS?

OK, what you need to do is check out your competitors..  These are some of your worthy competitors:
These three sell good at $9.95 ..  Most of them do it by digital delivery..

You need to reverse engineer what their ad says..  Tell yourself your ad needs to have the good qualities that makes them bite that you see in their ads..

Do not worry about the product you are sending yet..  Just know you will be able to put it together..

Ask yourself, "if I am making $250 a week off this, will I be able to find a way to get them all they want about real estate?"

Of course you will..  That will be your motivation.  That is why I dive into this stuff..  The money is good motivation to make a solid package to send them..

Write back..

Hi Larry,

Send me the auction links..

Also, are they category featured, or just bolded or bordered?

If you are starting in the normal auction listing in dutch format, thats the place to start as a "testing ground".

I am not sure if I sent you the list of steps, but it sounds like you are in the testing area..

Once you get the sales going here, then you take it to the top of the page where you get the real sales..

So, first we need to get the bugs out of your ad, per se..

Send me the links..

Hi Anthony (Tony?),

Thanks for your response. It made it much easier to get automated. I am now fully automated with instant delivery, feedback, etc. At the moment I have 7 of these ebooks listed. I'm selling them from $.99 to $5.99 with dutch auctions containing 10 potential sales each. At this time I have sold only one. I am unsure if I am doing something wrong or if this is typical? I am only on ebay so far. I have been listing them mostly in "Everything Else > Information Products > Other ", but have tried some other categories as well. I am using your ad copy. I'm very serious about making this a viable business, but won't be quitting the day job anytime soon! I am willing to list many more ebooks if I can sell enough to pay for the listings and of course make a few bucks. I've been looking into drop shipping as well, but have yet to find a product or products that really seem like they would be competitively priced.

At any
rate, is there any tips you can give me at this point as my next move to increase sales? I've read much of your material. Are you still selling these ebooks? Should I be listing these for one cent and charging shipping of .99 or something like that? If there is anything you can tell me to help me along I'd appreciate it. If this turns into a good venture for me I will continue to include links to your businesses to help give you incentive to help me succeed lol.

Thanks for your time,

Larry Wells

Hi Larry,

I am not sure how much I should write in this email, so just ask if I miss something
relevant..

You mentioned that you would like to know how to automate.. Basically, almost all of it can be automated through eBay's Selling Manager Pro..

Before, you had to get some software and do some work to get the ebooks to automatically deliver. .

Now, you just get eBay Selling Manager Pro..

The reason it ends up being free is you get a 2 for 1..

IF you have an eBay store, you can get Selling Manager Pro free..  It charges you for Selling Manager Pro, but later it automatically refunds you the amount..

So, you get a store, you can get Selling Manager Pro free..

Here is the link to Selling Manager Pro and Stores:

AUTOMATIC RELISTING:

Basically, you can setup automatic relisting of your auctions.  Or, you can setup a weekly schedule where and when to list your auction..  I have a couple on the schedule format and most on the automatically relist after the auctions end format..

So, right now I have about 92+% of my auctions automatically relisting.. If I only sold something like eBooks and other information type products, I could have 100%..

Basically, anything you have essentially unlimited stock of, or lots of, you can just set to
relist to the cows come home..

I have a few items that I
have in limited quantity, so they are normal and don't relist..

AUTOMATIC EBOOK SHIPMENT:

Explained on eBay here:

My explanation:
1. Download the ebook to your computer.
3. Once you get website space, you just use an FTP program, like SmartFTP to upload the ebooks to the website:
color=#003399>http://www.smartftp.com/
4. Then, when creating an ebay auction, on
Step 2 "Title & Description", between the title and description, it has a selection to make it a digital item, choose this and agree to it.  It will have a blank space for "FILE TYPE, SYS. SPECIFICATIONS".  You can leave it blank or just add in something like "Downloadable files (exe/ .pdf/ .zip) file".
5. Then, goto Step 4 "Payment & Delivery" and scroll down to the "Digital Item Delivery and Sale Tax" Section.  In that section, there are two spaces for the link for your digital product that you are delivering.  One is "Web address of digital item" and the other is "Delivery instructions".   Put the web address from where you uploaded your ebook to your website and put any instructions like "Download the ebook to your computer and double click it to execute".
6. Finish the ebay auction
and submit it.
7. When a customer buys and pays, it will automatically deliver the link you put
within the auction for digital delivery.  So, the customer can download it from the link.

AUTOMATIC FEEDBACK:

Automating Feedback: You can use Selling Manager Pro or Merlin's Instant Feedback to automate your feedback posting. I personally use Merlin's Instant Feedback, as they existed BEFORE eBay's automated feedback software.

I got my user name and password and am now looking at your site. (The link: http://www.saledaddy.com/how-to_manual_internet_ad.htm is broken).

I am computer literate and used to make web pages, although it has been several years. I say that so you won't waste time explaining basics to me. I am interested in starting by selling ebooks or any other electronic
material that I can automate as much as possible. I need to learn how to automatically send the ebooks to people that
purchase them at ebay after paying with paypal. I need to know where I can store these ebooks or have them attached to autoresponder if that is possible.

I've started an auction with one of your ebooks already as an experiment. I used one of your ebooks. Please check it out when you can and tell me if it looks right. I am not sure if I can accept payments to my paypal account or not! I went to paypal to try and set it up, but don't think I did. I do have a buyers account with them. I do not have a conventional brick and mortar type bank. I do all my banking online and have no traditional account number or ABA number, just visa/debit card, so not sure if I even can set up to take payments. Maybe you have way to do that? I am currently limited on time, but will be willing to devote more time if this works well. Now after work and on weekends I can
spend several hours at it.

Once I get this set up, I am interested in joining your affiliate program, I assume
its for selling this program I bought and entering my links in the ebooks? I didn't check it out yet, but I will.
