Are you Interested in Generating Some Extra Cash?

Hi Theodore,

I think you are looking at it from the wrong angle.

As my CPA and friend says, "If you can break even, you have a winner".

It is true.  All you have to do is tweak the auction..

The price is the biggest problem with the auction..  If you want to keep it really simple, simply add a shipping charge..  You will likely get the exact same amount of sales and that much more profit from the shipping charge.

The shipping charge can me handling..  So, it is legit..

I would NOT throw away your auction.  That would be a very bad idea..

Look at it like you are trying to tune in a radio channel.  If you try to put it on 94.9 while it is off and you turn it on, how likely do you think it will sound crystal clear?

It is unlikely.  But, a little tweaking, and it comes in crystal clear.

That is basically how these auctions work..  You have tried to hit the mark on the first auction.  So you broke even..  Thats like having it fuzzy on the dial..  All you need to do is adjust a bit..  Then, you have the profits..

YIELDING double what you are currently getting out of the auction is not as difficult as it sounds..  Simply changing the price a bit or adding shipping cost, or improving the title a bit or finding a bit better icon.

EVEN the icon could do it for you..  I have had icons where I changed the icon ONLY and have gotten double the sales..

So, like I said, it would not be wise to throw away that ad.  Rather, stick it out.. This is how I have been doing it for years.

It is rare that I make an ad like yours and make huge profit on the first go.  Often, it is just like you had.  Break even..  Then, I tweak and get it to make double..

Sincerely
Tony

Anthony,
Do you remember that one ebook auction I showed you that I category featured that had lots of potential? Well I broke even on that or $3 profit from 15 sales. Now that isn't very good, but once again I believe my price of $3 for the ebook was low. I've been thinking on topics to do for months and I feel orginial material will work best. So I'm considering doing a guide on making money or basically freelancing it out to elance. I'm eager to get started as I've felt the need to do this for the last 2 years. Just recently I've been more open minded upon what ebay can offer me and with my determination, I know I can achieve 1000/mo sales by September. I personally like your 2nd ad better, it seems more honest and sincere. What exactly are you selling in that auction? I've read about ad copy patterning. This also works great for me as when you look at someone elses copy it really gets my brain rolling on the type of ad I want to write. I feel if I could sell about 4-5 original guides on different topics then I could easily achieve 3k a month. I'm just starting to realize that the ad copy is about the benefits and emotional feel of the ad more so than the features of your so called "product" I think what is lacking in very many ebay ads to these days is creativity. So many people just copy everyone else and then there ad is just as bland as the next guys. You really have to entrigue the viewer into wanting to actually read your ad. The more excitement you can build up into it, the more likely it'll sell. Also a lot of ads are really missing the "concept" of advertising. Like these people who buy resell rights, most just copy the exact same thing. But what if you recreated a completely different ad for the product you bought, wouldn't you believe that'd create more sales? By the way when you are selling your products, do you just sell info and make the profit off each sale or do you have backend affiliate offers cleverly disguised in your guides and ebooks?
Best Regards,
Ted

LIS WIEHL: You can't not hire Lenny.
O'REILLY: Yes, but ... Don't you see my business point here? ... the state of Calif .. is forcing me to hire people that may be detrimental to my business.
LIS WIEHL: appearance shouldn't matter. When you're selling bibles.
O'REILLY: Ms. Rivers, you understand ... better than Lis because she went to Harvard Law School, and that disqualifies her from common sense.
