Are you Interested in Generating Some Extra Cash?

HI Theodore,

Pretty good reasons, but wouldn't it make more sense to just do both?

Keep going with this one and also start a new one?

Thats what I am doing right now, as my $9.95 ebook is still not going killer, but instead of ditching it, I will just keep modifying it as I have done with all of my products, until it is killer..

Then, I am also starting on another manual/eBook tomorrow, also..

Basically, I am wanting to ad about $100 a day to my sales and I was hoping the $9.95 one would have done it, but its still in testing..  So, I figured why not have two or three eBook trials going, as that will make success 3 times quicker..

FEEDBACK PRIVATE:

Not sure if it is a good idea.. Most who do this have a bad reason for doing it and are putting a big "X" on their forehead for the eBay police..

Not saying it would hurt you, but its just usually scammers or people trying to hide things do this..

Tony,
Yes I believe it still could make money. But the reason why I want to move on to a different project is because A. This isn't my ebook B. Every sale I make is making the author money as they make money off promoting Godaddy.com through affiliate sales. C. I really believe I can make $300-400 a month starting out from one ebook. D. I do care about my customers and want to give me quality even if it doesn't mean much, that's how I feel I'll stand out. I remember reading somewhere that said it costs you 5 times as much money in advertisement to obtain a new customer, rather than selling to an old customer. If I give them high quality information, then they'll want to buy from me again and again. Why not get my own piece of that action by coming up with original content? My biggest irk about selling that last ebook was in my feedback someone wrote: "great if you are into buying and selling domain names."

They totally gave away what that ebook is about and basically burned me. Do you think it'd be better to make my feedback private?

best regards,
Ted

Hi Theodore,

I think you are looking at it from the wrong angle.

As my CPA and friend says, "If you can break even, you have a winner".

It is true.  All you have to do is tweak the auction..

The price is the biggest problem with the auction..  If you want to keep it really simple, simply add a shipping charge..  You will likely get the exact same amount of sales and that much more profit from the shipping charge.

The shipping charge can me handling..  So, it is legit..

I would NOT throw away your auction.  That would be a very bad idea..

Look at it like you are trying to tune in a radio channel.  If you try to put it on 94.9 while it is off and you turn it on, how likely do you think it will sound crystal clear?

It is unlikely.  But, a little tweaking, and it comes in crystal clear.

That is basically how these auctions work..  You have tried to hit the mark on the first auction.  So you broke even..  Thats like having it fuzzy on the dial..  All you need to do is adjust a bit..  Then, you have the profits..

YIELDING double what you are currently getting out of the auction is not as difficult as it sounds..  Simply changing the price a bit or adding shipping cost, or improving the title a bit or finding a bit better icon.

EVEN the icon could do it for you..  I have had icons where I changed the icon ONLY and have gotten double the sales..

So, like I said, it would not be wise to throw away that ad.  Rather, stick it out.. This is how I have been doing it for years.

It is rare that I make an ad like yours and make huge profit on the first go.  Often, it is just like you had.  Break even..  Then, I tweak and get it to make double..

Sincerely
Tony

Anthony,
Do you remember that one ebook auction I showed you that I category featured that had lots of potential? Well I broke even on that or $3 profit from 15 sales. Now that isn't very good, but once again I believe my price of $3 for the ebook was low. I've been thinking on topics to do for months and I feel orginial material will work best. So I'm considering doing a guide on making money or basically freelancing it out to elance. I'm eager to get started as I've felt the need to do this for the last 2 years. Just recently I've been more open minded upon what ebay can offer me and with my determination, I know I can achieve 1000/mo sales by September. I personally like your 2nd ad better, it seems more honest and sincere. What exactly are you selling in that auction? I've read about ad copy patterning. This also works great for me as when you look at someone elses copy it really gets my brain rolling on the type of ad I want to write. I feel if I could sell about 4-5 original guides on different topics then I could easily achieve 3k a month. I'm just starting to realize that the ad copy is about the benefits and emotional feel of the ad more so than the features of your so called "product" I think what is lacking in very many ebay ads to these days is creativity. So many people just copy everyone else and then there ad is just as bland as the next guys. You really have to entrigue the viewer into wanting to actually read your ad. The more excitement you can build up into it, the more likely it'll sell. Also a lot of ads are really missing the "concept" of advertising. Like these people who buy resell rights, most just copy the exact same thing. But what if you recreated a completely different ad for the product you bought, wouldn't you believe that'd create more sales? By the way when you are selling your products, do you just sell info and make the profit off each sale or do you have backend affiliate offers cleverly disguised in your guides and ebooks?
Best Regards,
Ted
