All of the steps make perfect sense. Got a few questions for you - two directly related to your
last message and the last one is totally off the subject.
I followed the link you provided to see who is selling a similar book as what you want to sell.
How do I find the seller making the
most money? There is no way from looking at the ad to tell
if someone is making sells or not - is there? My last question from your last message - in your
search, how specific do you get? Do you just specify "how to" books or are you more specific
with the type of "how to" book you are marketing? That does it for now. I am actually getting
excited - I'm about to launch my first "successful" auction!!!!
Here is my second set of questions. In my first message to you, I mentioned I had a reseller
license for kids discount clothing. (You can see the link below.)
CLEARANCE SALE ON NAME BRAND KIDS WEAR
Save 50% to 70% off retail! Exclusive Time Limited Offer.
Use Coupon Code - MK11951
The object is for the person looking for clothing to click on the site, register at the site and then
save up to 70% on the designer clothes they buy. One of the problems I found, especially with
my printed ads, was people not wanting to enter the coupon code or register. If there was a
way to include the code in a web address, that might do better but I don't know if the effort is
Another thing of interest, I saw a few people a while back selling links to different sites for something
like a penny. I even saw one ad where the seller charged a dollar but gave you the dollar back in the
form of a rebate - just to get you to buy the link. They apparently make their money off the people
visiting the site and eventually purchasing something. My first question is whether eBay allows this
type of marketing? My next question is whether this type of marketing (even with the killer ad you
mentioned earlier) work for links you want people to visit? Finally, do your recommend this type of
selling on eBay?
That wraps up my questions for today. Enjoy your day.
1. Basically, you make an ad description for the eBook. I generally find those who are selling a similar eBook and are making the most money out of all those selling that particular topic of ebook. I do this at a link like this:
I analyze those who are selling this type of eBook and find the seller making the most money.. I believe I already showed you who this was (hawaiian guy), but there are also many other good examples.. See the link above and do the research a bit..
O'REILLY: All right, Lis ... I sell bibles in Tarzana, CA. Lenny comes in, & he's got a ... beard. He's wearing a dress ... I have to hire him?
LIS WIEHL: You can't not hire Lenny.
O'REILLY: Yes, but ... Don't you see my business point here? ... the state of Calif .. is forcing me to hire people that may be detrimental to my business.
LIS WIEHL: appearance shouldn't matter. When you're selling bibles.
O'REILLY: Ms. Rivers, you understand ... better than Lis because she went to Harvard Law School, and that disqualifies her from common sense.
