The approach is crucial to any ebook you are going to sell..
It is far more complex than you are probably realizing..
Basically, you need to have a few things in place:
1. A good topic, or something that is going to sell.
2. A good ad and marketing approach.
3. Good traffic or a place to obtain good traffic..
The short story concept, where you just write some short stories and then try to sell them, that is like just making a guess and hoping it sticks..
The idea is to find out where the money is at and then mold your product to fit what they want or need..
I would say the short story one is going to be one of those topics, where there are very few avenues that work..
However, I do know the correct method in which to investigate if it will work or not..
That being, looking on clickbank for any short story products, and also on ebay.
I MEAN, this will give you an idea right here:
Notice, not the type of stories you are probably writing, however, these are the type of products that intertwine stories in them and sell..
One is stories about internet millionares.. YES, stories about millionares, testimonies, their life, how they did it.. This is something people like to pay for and read..
Of course, 1% of them maybe will take something from it and make it rich.. But, that is not the point.. THe point is it sells...
HOW I GO ABOUT THIS:
1. I find where all the money is.. Find products making good money..
2. I reverse engineer them.. Make my own version.. If they are Coke, I am Pepsi..
3. Start selling directly against them, take some of their customers..
That is how you make money, particularly on the info product topic, especially on ebay..
Tell me what you are thinking.. DO you want to try the story topic or something else?

Hello, I have bought your 'business' in the hopes you can help me get my ebooks selling. I have a web site: briceyslittlelibrary.com that is simply going nowhere, and now I have decided I need to find another way to sell my short stories, probably through Ebay, though I had hoped I would find a site that just does that, sell ebooks. My idea is to put all the short stories on my site into one ebook and sell it as a one off item rather than trying to sell specific titles separately. I would be grateful if you could steer me in the right direction to do this, even if it means I should take down the site. Please have a look at my site to get an idea of what I'm talking about, and I pray you then may be able to direct me in the best way in your opinion I should go about it. I hope you can do this for me, because I do write some good short stories according to most people, I love doing it, and why not make some good money doing it? It just seems to me that people are not too interested in short stories now days, at least I have not been able to find a good niche to get my site prominently shown where the traffic is running! Can we do it?
